I'm Kyle Parry, am educator turned full-stack engineer.
I'm Kyle Parry—a former ski instructor and elementary school teacher who traded the slopes and classrooms for lines of code and algorithmic challenges. In the midst of the global pandemic in July 2020, I seized the opportunity to redefine my path and fully immerse myself in the dynamic world of full-stack engineering.
Fueled by an unwavering passion for innovation, I ventured beyond the familiar, leaving behind the security of my previous roles to embrace the excitement of uncertainty. This marked the beginning of a relentless pursuit to master the intricacies of programming and cultivate a deeper understanding of technology's transformative power.
Committed to a perpetual cycle of growth, I approach each day as an opportunity to refine my skills and evolve as an engineer. I thrive on challenges, actively seeking new avenues to expand my knowledge and skill set. - Developed various internal and external web applications for the Securonix Cyberfusion team, from initial ideas to enterprise product sold to Securonix customers and utilized by company cybersecurity analysts

- Led training in use of Vail Resorts internal lodging management systems for new-hire front desk agents
- Responsible for maintaining high quality AAA four diamond check in/check out procedures
- Coordinated guests needs with other company and resort departments
- Fielded tax-exemption related questions, restaurant and activity recommendations and all manner of resort queries all while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor

- Worked with an international clientele of tourists traveling from all over the world

- Volunteered with the International Student Volunteers in Ecuador, Australia and Croatia
- Croatia: Fostered peaceful relations between Serbians and Croatians via community development in war torn communities. Led camp activities with children: soccer, baseball, basketball, movie nights
- Australia: Educated a coal mining community about ecological issues via trail construction and tree planting. Volunteered at Carnarvon National Park building trails and constructing river crossings
- Ecuador: Taught English to local children ages 6 to 13. Maintained biological reserve in the Amazon rainforest, planting trees, patrolling for poachers
